The HD 980 CD player is a master of music playback with a single goal - perfect music reproduction. The 24-bit/176kHz sample rate converter is supported by a high-quality Wolfson« WM8740 D/A converter to turn music playback from a CD into an outstanding performance. The digital processor, based on a 32-bit DSP, ensures that distortion is kept to a minimum. Features such as CD text, ID tags for MP3 files, programmable playback sequences and a remote control make playback of any CD, CD-R or CD-RW easy to control. The display can be dimmed or switched off completely so that music can be enjoyed without any visual distractions.

The HD 980 is engineered to deliver the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth. With signal-to-noise specs mirroring those of the mixing consoles on which the original recordings were made, and a 32-bit DSP for the highest possible jitter rejection, the HD 980 delivers musical purity without artifacts or veils.
