The HD 980 also has a big brother: the HD 990. This CD player features a 24-bit/384kHz sample rate converter, supported by one high-quality Analog Devices AD1955 D/A converter per channel. An RLS III (Real-Time Linear Smoothing) system is used to optimize the sound. Symmetric XLR outputs, as well as one optical and one coaxial input and output, complete the HD 990 equipment package.
