Hi-Fi or High Fidelity sound can be described as attempting to reproduce a sound in such a way that it appears to be coming directly from the source, not from a sound system. The accuracy to which this can be achieved will depend on the specifications of the speakers that you are listening to. However, sound limitations do also come from the other end of the spectrum, the quality of sound is only as good as the equipment that is recording it and then later processing it. Here at classic Hi-Fi we can appreciate how far Hi-Fi audio has come over the last few decades, but we have a more enjoyable experience listening through a vintage speaker, because not only do you get some great audio, but you also get to experience the rich history and the unique designs that come with older systems.
